Catpain’s log : Paw Date 4th April 2022

There is quite a tussle going on in this house about food. Cat food, to be precise!

Up until quite recently I have been prepared to accept what can only be described as “basic rations”. Let me explain what I mean. Every so often, perhaps once every couple of months, the Amazon delivery man arrives at the door with a large brown bag. The humans treat it as a very boring happening and when all is said and done, I cannot help but agree with them. Inside the brown bag is just another yellowy coloured bag filled with cat biscuits. The humans call them “Go-Cat” and they taste sort of fishy. But only “sort of”. Really, no-one is fooled. These ain’t fish! But they have been my basic rations for years. Poor me.

But cat fans, change is in the air! Haha! Just chalk it up to Mia. Another victory for the cleverest member of the household.

You see I am not against cat biscuits. In their own way they are fine and I have eaten them for years as my staple diet. But, honestly, I have become tired of them. Too boring, too predictable and just not something you can look forward to for breakfast, dinner or tea! My plan has been to wage a kind of guerrilla warfare, with the strategic objective of food change! My tactics : Jumping up onto the dinner table 10 times during each meal, even though I know they hate that! Also meowing at every given opportunity when there is food around and scratching at the cupboard.

My plans for better sustenance have borne fruit! Well, cat food, to be precise. And over these past few days some delicious new pouched Whiskas cat food has been provided. Tuna and Cod! Superb.
