Catpain’s Log : Paw Date 28th March 2022

It is such a relief that the warmer weather is coming. I love it, like you have no idea!

I am a hardy cat, just as hardy as the next Bombay Cat. Hardier, I am sure. And I am happy to prowl round the outside of the house and the street in all weathers. I have been out there in howling gales, rain and snow, even the driving hail. I can deal with it all. But I do prefer to be indoors when I can, because it is so, so much warmer.  Which brings me back to the weather. For the first time in a long time this week, I have started to see some small flowers coming through in the garden and as well as that, the grass is growing! Beautiful new patches of fresh green loveliness to roll around on and jump from onto the garden verges.

With every changing season it does put pressure on your favourite Bombay Cat though. We Bombays have our ways and means – and also our responsibilities. It doesn’t escape my attention that new mice are being borne all over the place, as well as birds. These pose an existential threat to the way of life of everyone in the house. I know it is my job and special focus to get rid of them. I am pleased to report that I have begun work in earnest.
